In a company like Lowe's, the role of the Exterior Home Improvement Sales Associate is highly significant as they play a vital part in elevating customers' experiences. By assisting in the selection of the right products, confirming accurate quotes and prices, meeting customer needs, and providing excellent customer service, associates in this role are the core of the customer experience. Listening actively to customers, using product knowledge to assist them, and lending a hand in loading merchandise also forms an integral part of their job responsibilities. The Customer Service Associate must also ensure to report safety or security concerns promptly.

The specific responsibilities of a Exterior Home Improvement Sales Associate will depend on the department they are assigned to. Some of these departments include Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Millwork, Fashion Plumbing, Outlet, Tool Rental, Pro, or Windows & Walls. Depending on the candidate's skills and the organizational requirements, a Customer Service Associate can expect to be placed in any of these areas.

Travel Requirements:

While this job mainly involves staying in one place, occasional travel may be necessary for attending meetings, training or providing support to neighboring stores.

We are looking for candidates who are team players, able to work effectively in a collaborative environment. Good communication skills are paramount in this regard. A candidate must be able to communicate well with other team members, listen to others' opinions, and provide constructive feedback when needed:

• Full-time employees generally work 39 to 40 hours per week, while part-time employees work up to 25 hours per week. Depending on the store's needs, additional hours may be required.
• Availability is required throughout the day, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings on any day of the week.
• Successful participation in job activities, which may involve prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities, is dependent on physical ability.
• To work in Greeter departments at certain stores, CSAs must be capable of lifting a minimum of 10 pounds independently and can potentially lift more weight with or without assistance.
• All departments except for Greeter departments require CSAs to have the ability to lift at least 25 pounds by themselves and could potentially be able to lift more than 25 pounds with or without support.

Minimum Qualifications:

• An individual with half a year's worth of hands-on experience navigating a computer, involving tasks like data input, accessing information, changing data, and creating output.
• Became proficient in handling popular retail technologies like tablets and smartphones after six months of experience.
• Adherence to legal regulations by obtaining sales-related licenses or registrations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• My 6 months spent in sales have enabled me to skillfully identify and promote products that are customized to each customer's requirements. This encompasses promoting credit cards, add-ons, installations, and explaining product features, advantages, and warranties.
• In the six months that I have invested in the retail industry, I have garnered in-depth knowledge of customer issues, their expectations, and how to thank them for doing business with us.
• Communication skills in various languages, if necessary for the establishment.
• A certification in a trade related to a particular department, like hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials, can enhance your professional standing and lead to higher earning potential.
